Metal! Heavy riffs, sturdy bonds, bikes, you name it! Born and raised in Miles City, MT, Jimmy popped out of the womb with a torch in one hand and a bullwhip in the other. He’s been riding bikes most of his life and has welded in a variety of professional settings over the course of the past 13 years. Ten years ago, he made his first bike rack. For several years, making bike racks was a hobby fueled by thriftiness, determination, and a healthy passion for DIY projects. 

As mountain biking continues to grow and road-tripping becomes more popular, bike racks need to evolve to accommodate this lifestyle. Being able to access the rear hatch, truck bed, or camper door is crucial and up until recently, there hasn’t been a reliable and simple solution. Jimmy saw this gap in the bike rack market and set his sights on finding an answer. He wanted to create something sturdy and sleek- something that would keep bikes safe and secure while allowing for easy access to all- no heavy lifting required and no aftermarket parts necessary. After years of building, testing, and tweaking countless iterations, the Jambo Design swing-out rack was born. 

The days of back injuries sustained while lifting a heavy, fully loaded bike rack up and down to gain a minimal amount of access to the back of your vehicle are gone. No need to unload all the bikes to grab a helmet out of the back! No need to buy and combine multiple products just to access your camper door! Gone are the days of sloppy bolt connections that require constant monitoring and tightening!
